Win My Signature Tim Pierce Overdrive Pedal

Hello everybody and thanks so much for joining the website and subscribing to the newsletter!! We are giving away one of my Tim Pierce Overdrive Pedals!

Simply pull up my “Pharrell Williams Happy” video on YouTube (link below) – leave a comment in the comments section for the video (on YouTube) then click the Share Button and the Facebook icon – and you are automatically entered in the giveaway for a Tim Pierce Overdrive Pedal by J. Rockett Audio! The winner will be chosen from a random comment! Contest ends October 10th, 2014. I didn’t realize when I started out but, it turns out one of the greatest joys of doing these videos, is getting comments on YouTube. The “Happy” video is a little different for me. I broke away from classic rock for a second, and taught a lesson on the song “Happy” which was one of my favorite songs from last year. I also tried something else new and made it a dual lesson for both beginners and intermediate players. So I wanted to thank you all again for your support! See you soon and good luck! πŸ™‚ Tim…

Subscribe to Tim’s newsletter and get access to a private collection of videos and more.

There are lots of lessons on soloing, a beginner strumming video, at a studio tour where you can explore the secrets of getting great sounds!

Yes! Please sign me up!

Hmm, October 10th, 2014. That’s exactly one month before November 10th, 2014. And on November 10th, 2014 a legend shall bring us a new album. Coincidence? Don’t think so. Off to YT. Thanks!

This is so typical of Tim Pierce, to joyously sail across these changes and paint another gem of a track! Every time I watch one of Tim’s videos, I learn something cool. I love that he can so easily inspire me. Even with my 51 years of playing, I want to go play guitar, immediately! after watching Tim. Thanks Tim! More! LOL

I hope you do an advanced lesson on the lick at :30! I’ve got the beginning of it and hope to plow through the rest
That lick makes me HAPPY! LOL Thanks again, Tim.

    Tim, you are truly amazing.

One slight criticism. Borrow from Marty and call out the DOWN, DOWN, UP rhythm. YouTube never quite links up the sound and audio so it’s difficult to watch and figure it out. That took me longer to figure out than the chord progression.

    Great song choice.
I loved this song from the moment I heard it. For about a year, I felt like the only on who did. Then the Grammys blew it up.

Once you showed me the chorus, I realized just how strong that hook is. I played those three chords for about half an hour without realizing it. If only I could falsetto over the top of it like Pharrell. Can’t quite get up there.

Now off to learn the solo

Thank you for yet another demonstration of awesome musicianship.
The Happy song is a really great one
thank you for taking the time to do the lessons, and explaining what you are doing.
I find them to be extremely rewarding!

I really enjoy your site. I’m a life long player(40+). The videos on layering tracks are very enlightening. Sometimes we guitar players get obsessed with trying to be flashy, instead of playing with the track. We’re trying to impress, overplay and play at or over the track instead of with it. Your videos highlight this very well. We all can’t be the next guitar god. But over the years, I find it much more impressive when someone reallys compliments a song. I think it’s much harder to do, than be flashy and riff all the time. Anyone can riff. Being musical is way harder.
Thanks for your insights and experience.

Thanks for the “Happy” video. You have given me a greater appreciation of the song. Your videos are allowing an old timer the desire to find out what I can do musically instead of mechanically.

You have been there, done that and have the T-shirt in many colors. I am sure everyone that has subscribed to your site, appreciates the time you take out of your busy schedule to mentor us in our guitar passions. Don’t know if you’d be willing to do a lesson/video about your Guitarland CD. But, if you ever did, “One Desire” would get my vote. I wouldn’t mind hearing the story about the making of the CD, either.

Thank you for allowing us to spend time with you.
