Eddie Kramer Tim Pierce Edstortion PhazeVibe Guitar Pedals

Eddie Kramer Edstortion PhazeVibe Guitar Pedals

Eddie Kramer came over for a visit and brought his Edstortion and PhazeVibe Guitar Pedals. Eddie Kramer brought his new Signature Stompbox Guitar Pedals over to my studio recently. He and his partner, Francesco Sondelli, who is the founder of F-pedals, are creating some great new products. The two pedals I tried were the Phazevibe and the Edstortion. I used my Nash Stratocaster, through my Divided by 13 RSA 23 head, recording through an SM 57 microphone. The mic went straight into a BAE mic pre and then through Apogee converters and into ProTools Eddie Kramer is a very talented, and meticulous producer and engineer. He hires me to play on projects somewhat regularly. I’ve known him for quite some time. You have to go to the Eddie Kramer Website and look at his discography. Every Hendrix record! Five Led Zeppelin records, including Led Zeppelin II, and Houses of the Holy. You’ll see Beatles records, Rolling Stones records, Frampton comes alive… Eddie recorded Woodstock!! Discussing Jimi Hendrix with Eddie is one of the greatest pleasures I’ve ever had. I’m talking to the man whose pictures and name I saw on the records that literally changed my life when I was a kid. If you had told me when I was 12 years old that someday Eddie Kramer would be hiring me to play guitar and that we would be friends, I would have passed out right in front of you… Please check out Eddie’s Facebook Page, and his website, and the F-pedals website. I can tell you firsthand, Eddie is better than ever at recording music and capturing performances. Subscribe to Tim’s newsletter and get access to a private collection of videos and more. Hello everybody and thanks so much for joining the website and subscribing to the newsletter!! We are giving away one of my Tim Pierce Overdrive Pedals!

Simply pull up my “Pharrell Williams Happy” video on YouTube (link below) – leave a comment in the comments section for the video (on YouTube) then click the Share Button and the Facebook icon – and you are automatically entered in the giveaway for a Tim Pierce Overdrive Pedal by J. Rockett Audio! The winner will be chosen from a random comment! Contest ends October 10th, 2014. I didn’t realize when I started out but, it turns out one of the greatest joys of doing these videos, is getting comments on YouTube. The “Happy” video is a little different for me. I broke away from classic rock for a second, and taught a lesson on the song “Happy” which was one of my favorite songs from last year. I also tried something else new and made it a dual lesson for both beginners and intermediate players. So I wanted to thank you all again for your support! See you soon and good luck! 🙂 Tim…

Eric Berdon Recording Session

Eric Berdon Recording Session

I do a lot of guitar sessions for Ken Caillat and Eric Berdon, they bring some of the highest quality songs and artists. This song was sung beautifully by a great new artist named Shaena Stabler. Ken produced ‘Rumors‘ by Fleetwood Mac and many other subsequent Fleetwood Mac records, and then he had a second huge success with his daughter Colbie Caillat. I’ve gotten to play on several of Colbie’s records – she has an amazing voice. Eric Berdon is Ken’s partner and he’s a very talented young songwriter, singer and guitarist. I used my Tom Anderson Raven a lot, Divided by 13 Amp and my Eventide Eclipse Delays. I also of course use the Line6 Echo Park which is one of my favorite delay pedals. Ken Caillet’s credits include: Stevie Nicks, Michael Jackson, Dishwalla, Ministry, Motörhead, London Symphony Orchestra, Curtis Mayfield, REO Speedwagon, Bob Marley & the Wailers, Lynyrd Skynyrd and many more. Vemuram Pedals

Vemuram Guitar Pedals Demo

This is the newest Demo Video with Tim Demonstrating The Vemuram Pedal Line. Vemuram Pedals is a Japanese Company that is 100% hand built. Tim shows current 4 Vemuram pedals – The Karen, Jan Ray, Neoplex and Rage e. Vemuram Karen This has Marshall written all over it. Really nice and tight overdrive, without all the compression. Very harmonically rich as you turn the gain up. Think 50 watt Plexi/JTM 45 sounds. Vemuram Jan Ray This is my personal favorite. It sounds and reacts like a turned up blackface Fender amp. More specifically, a Super Reverb. This is a superior drive pedal to pretty much anything I’ve stacked up against it. The bass response is so superb that even bass players are using this thing. Like the rest of its family remains articulate even at its highest gain. Vemuram Neoplex Super limited run of pedals to maybe 100. This has deadstock transistors from an EP3 Echoplex. It is probably the most formidable boost pedal I’ve ever played. Plug in and it sounds like an echoplex, just without the repeats. Vemuram Rage e This is a higher gain pedal. Marshall-esque with a little Bogner, perhaps? Still very articulate while being gainy – very musical, with a punch it up to the next level boost thrown in for good measure.
